Hello. Hi!

 

People often ask me why I decided to become a wedding celebrant and I always reply Love is Love and “It is love that makes the impossible possible”.

 

But also I am excited about the idea of the “wedding day” – people coming together who all have a reason to be in that one place, at that one time in history, who have played either a big or small part in the lives of these two people on that day.

 

I have always related to this quote from Confucius …. “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life” and I love this role.

I believe the most important responsibility as a celebrant is to assist and help to create a ceremony that is unique and sincere and will reflect the personalities, tastes and wishes of the wedding couple and their families. But also what makes an occasion unique is being able to share it with those who matter to you the most and being able to deliver this in a unique and special way.

I believe nothing is more exciting than meeting new people, hearing their stories, and being inspired.

For many years I was extremely privileged to have a career in the travel/tourism and hospitality industries. The one thing that travel has taught me is the importance of what you have already in your life - friends, family and community. Being able to communicate with people from all different walks of life is very important and with many years within the service industries I have been able to draw on the experience as a wedding celebrant.
